The beloved Reptar, usually a friendly and heroic figure, has unexpectedly turned evil in his latest movie screened at the drive-in. Grandpa is engrossed in a war film while the children are watching Reptar’s movie on another screen. When they notice that refrigerator magnets are sticking to Reptar, they realize that the supposedly gleeful Angelica has something to do with this sudden change in Reptar’s behavior. It turns out that she has created a metal replica of Reptar to carry out her devious plans.
Tommy, Chuckie, their baby siblings, and the Carmichael kids team up to confront a series of challenges such as volcanic lava, vehicle mishaps, and a threatening pteranodon to save the day in this exciting 45-minute episode.
In the 12-minute "Chuckie's Complaint," Chuckie takes issue with Reptar's cereal commercial and writes a letter of complaint. The moms decide to take the kids to meet Reptar at the mall, where they come face to face with the prehistoric beast. The story ends with a heartwarming group hug.
The Rugrats' beloved reptilian hero, Reptar, who has previously saved humanity from aliens, giant cockroaches, and mole people, has now turned very naughty. The determined group of children, including Tommy, Chuckie, the twins, Angelica, and Tommy's baby brother Dil, are on a mission to persuade their once good-hearted hero to change his ways. While facing challenges along the way, they hope to bring Reptar back to the side of good.
