SpongeBob SquarePants: Seasons 1-2

Spongebob Squarepants, the eternally sunny fry cook, can usually be found grilling up Krabby Patties at the Krusty Krab, the finest eating establishment in Bikini Bottom. When he's not at work, he spends time with his best pal Patrick, either in his pineapple house with his pet snail, Gary, or practicing kah-rah-tay with Sandy. No matter what he's doing, Spongebob's perpetual optimism makes every day the BEST DAY EVER!

Spongebob is optimistic, innocent, earnest, and well-meaning about everything. He enjoys his job and spending time with his friends, especially when they are jellyfishing or practicing kah-rah-tay. Patrick is Spongebob's dimwitted best friend, whose hobbies include sleeping and lying dormant. Squidward, Spongebob's stick-in-the-mud neighbor, is embittered, whiny, aloof, and an awful musician. Sandy, one of Spongebob's closest friends, is from Texas and loves sports, particularly kah-rah-tay, and inventing things. Gary the Snail says "Meow", Mr. Krabs is the penny-pinching owner of the Krusty Krab, and Plankton is the microscopic owner of the Chum Bucket who will stop at nothing to get the secret formula for making Krabby Patties.
